Celine's lastest news
Today is Celine's sister, Ghislaine's
birthday. Ghislaine was only 10 years old when Celine was born and
is the ninth child of the family. She remembers when Celine was 5
years old and their parents brought them to the club where they used
to work as musicians. Ghislaine was playing drums and her father brought
Celine on stage. The people in the audience were offering ten dollar
bills just to hear Celine sing! Ghislaine was surprised and impressed
by her little sister!
Celine's hit holiday album, ''These
Are Special Times,'' is scheduled to be re-released this fall. This
legacy edition will include a bonus DVD featuring footage from Celine's
1998 CBS Christmas television special! Stay tuned for more details!
Even in its final year, A New Day...
rocks the tour charts with thousands of loyal fans still coming out
to see Celine everyday!! The latest edition of Pollstar's
mid-year Top 100 North American Tours chart proved that Celine's
fans are not ready to say goodbye to her incredible Las Vegas show
yet! Celine's A New Day... has landed the #4 position for gross sales
in 2007! Congratulations Celine!!
Almost a full two months after being
released, Celine's new album 'D'elles' is still holding strong as
one of the top 10 albums on many Quebec charts. The second single
from the album, ''Immensité'' is sitting comfortably in the
top 10 on this week's 'Galaxie FrancoPop' chart and is also in the
top 10 on the 'Top 100 Francophone Radio BDS' chart this week! The
album also landed on the 'Top Ventes' chart for being one of the top
selling albums in Quebec! Congratulations Celine!
Attention Celine fans! You can now see
a video of Celine's interview on "La tête dans les étoiles"
with Laurent Boyer, which originally aired on French radio station

Attention Celine fans in France: French
radio station Chérie FM will be hosting their 3rd annual award
show ''Les
étoiles Chérie FM'' on November 5. Right now, fans

Song of the Year), Artiste Féminine de l'Année (Female

The July issue of Quebec magazine 'Clin
d'oeil' highlights ten important global issues. The article includes
a photo of Celine and mentions her support for the UNESCO 'Culture
of Peace' program. This program aims to restore peace in the spirit
of humans around the world through education and culture. The July
issue is available on newsstands now.
The 2-hour 'D'elles' television special
featuring Celine, which aired on TVA Quebec in May, was the #1 rated
show for the week of May 21 to May 27! According to "Les cotes
d'écoute" from the TV
Hebdo, the special hosted by Julie Snyder pulled in 1, 614, 000
